Volunteers are a vital part of the Youth Café!
We’re looking for more people to help provide young people in the area with somewhere safe to go, something to do, and someone to talk to.
We’re looking for enthusiastic people with a range of skills, talents and interests to work within a variety of roles with our young people.
Remember, you don’t need any skills or experience of working with young people to get involved because we can provide all the necessary training. All you need is just a few spare hours each week and a desire to help young people to make the most of their lives.
What can you expect in return?
There are many studies that show the benefits of volunteering, from improved communication skills and an enhanced CV to meeting new and different people and improving self-esteem and perspective on life.
How much time do you need to give?
We ask that all our volunteers commit to at least three sessions per month. This allows us to effectively plan our work with young people and ensures they have the continuity and stability of care that they deserve.
The Youth Café is open for young people from 5pm – 9pm every Friday and we will be looking to add to this in the future.
If you have any questions about becoming a volunteer for Ballyphehane Youth Café, please get in touch with Carmel Forde on 087-6847710.
